Square Series

This series is about experiencing. Using a familiar library of symbols and patterns, I'm attempting to get to the root of my paranoia. These pieces are inspired by Ray Johnson, who somehow as become very burned into my memory.
Figures

Most of these paintings are limited to small series, or individuals based around the figure. Many, if not most of my figurative work is some type of narrative, and generally pull in equal interest in negative space and surroundings in combination with the figure itself.
Buddha Bridges

These works are a product of a rather simple adventure. Riding shotgun in a 1989 780 turbo Volvo wagon, I found myself surprised at how many bridges and overpasses there were in my neighborhood. I loved these scenes. Rainy day and all, I photographed as much as I could, ignoring the hood ornament and blue blocker tint on the windshield.
Paper Paintings

This collections of pieces are kind of a strange group of work. My overall goal was to have a feeling of media, playing with the idea of Japanese prints, to modern ads and packaging, as well as film.

Paintings that are primarily landscape and cityscape based.
